Ordination Day - Saturday June 24th

Ordination Day has always been a significant day in the church diary as the day when the Diocese celebrates God’s calling to individuals and, more importantly, those individuals response to His call in putting themselves forward for ordination. It is the day when we affirm that response through the Bishop laying hands on and anointing the Ordinands. It is a huge day for the individuals, their families and friends and for the Diocese as a whole.

This year we will be gathering at the Cathedral at Bangor on Saturday June 24th at 3 o’clock in the afternoon – but this year for St Peter’s and our Ministry Area it will be very special. This year we will be witnessing and celebrating the ordination of Mrs Jen Evans as a Permenant Deacon and the licensing of Mrs Sandra Wheeler as a Reader. Both ladies will be joining us in our Ministry Area and we welcome them both.

If anyone would like to join us at the Cathedral on that day there will be a bus leaving Machynlleth at 12md, the price will be £12 and names need to be given to Revd Kathleen via the website or by phone as soon as possible. Payment would be appreciated before the day.

On Sunday 25th June we will continue our celebrations at St Peter’s with a Ministry Area United Eucharist service at 10.30am followed by lunch at Plas Dolguog.
