10 members attended the first meeting of the 2018/19 session on 20th September. The meeting began with Holy Communion, led by Rev. Jen Evans. The readers were Ann Armstrong and Joyce Price and the organist was Margaret Hughes. After the service, members retired to the Mezzanine room for the AGM. Joyce welcomed everyone, and thanked Rev. Jen for the service and Margaret(H) for the organ music. She paid tribute to a very faithful member, Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, who passed away very suddenly, recently, and a minutes silence was observed in her memory. Joyce then reported on the visits made during the Summer.

4 members attended the Flower Festival in Porthmadog; 9 members attended the 'get-together' in Llanfaelog, and the Eucharist for Mary Sumner day was attended by 21 members and friends, and conducted by Rev. Kathleen. 9 members attended Joanne's tea-party, where £300 was raised for MU charities. Joyce and Margaret(S) attended the General Meeting in Swansea. They were very impressed with the new banner, made by Alice, who was thanked by Joyce. She also thanked the officials, tea hostesses, readers and all members and friends for their continued support. She will be standing down as Vice-President for South Meirionydd in January, and would like more help to run the Machynlleth branch. She circulated pictures of the knitted and crocheted poppies in the cathedral and thanked those who contributed to the 800 sent from the Machynlleth area.

The secretary then gave a brief resume of speakers during the year, and activities undertaken. We currently have 15 members on roll. The Treasurer explained that the full balance sheet would be available in January, but gave a brief update on our funds.
