Cawl a Chlonc 11th January 2018

Daeth nifer dda ynghyd yn Y Llofft, Eglwys Sant Pedr i fwynhau sesiwn cynta’r flwyddyn o ‘ Cawl a Chlonc’ wedi ei baratoi gan y tim bugeiliol. Hyfryd iawn oedd cael croesawu unwaith eto aton ni rieni a’u babis/ plant bach i fwynhau pryd o fwyd gyda ni ac I gael cipolwg ar fanteision y rhyngweithio rhwng yr hen a’r ifanc. Braf oedd cael cwmni Helen Roberts, Swyddog Cefnogi Teuluoedd o’r Awdurdod Iechyd a ddaeth i gefnogi ein camau cyntaf I ddatblugu’r berthynas rhwng y ddwy genehedlaeth ac i annog rhagor o rieni ifanc i ymuno â ni. Yn dilyn y cinio cafwyd cyflwyni- ad arbennig iawn gan Canon Kath o’ i hymweliad bythgofiadwy ag Uganda ar ran yr esgobaeth yr hydref llynedd. Bydd y lluniau o’r plant a phobl Uganda yn edrych mor hapus ynghanol eu tlodi yn aros yn y cof ac yn wers i ni gyd.
Yn drist iawn dyma oedd sesiwn olaf ‘Cawl a Chlonc ‘ i Canon Kath a’r Parch Roland. Er mwyn cydnabod cyfraniad parod y ddau i’r sesiynau ac am eu cefnogaeth gwerthfawr i’r tim bugeili- ol cyflwynwyd rhodd iddyn nhw gan ddymuno pob hapusrwydd a phob bendith i Kath ar ei hymddeoliad ac i Roland wrth iddo symud i Fro Moelwyn fel arweinydd i’r ardal weinidogaeth honno.

There was a good turnout for the first Cawl a Chlonc session of the new year organised by the Pastoral Team which was held at Y Llofft, St Peter’s Church. It was wonderful to have the company of young parents with their babies and toddlers with us once again, joining us for lunch and to observe the interaction between the young and the elderly. We were also delighted to have the company of Helen Roberts, Family Support Worker for the Health Authority who came to support our new initiative, in developing the relationship between the two generations and to encourage more parents to join us. Following the lunch Canon Kath gave us a very moving presentation on her visit on behalf of the diocese to Uganda last autumn. The photos of how happy the people and children of Uganda appeared amid their poverty will stay with us. It is a lesson to us all.
Sadly this was the last session of Cawl a Chlonc for Canon Kath and Rev Roland before they move on to pastures new. In appreciation of their contribution to the sessions and for their valued support to the pastoral team they were both presented with a gift on behalf of the team. They were wished every happiness and blessing as Kath retires and Roland moves to Blaenau Ffestiniog to become Leader of Bro Moelwyn Ministry Area.
