Holy Trinity Corris.
We enjoyed hosting the MA United Service for Palm Sunday. It was a very good turnout and lovely to see so many there.
On Easter Day we were privileged to have the Retired Bishop of Guilford, Christopher Hill celebrating for us. Thanks to Nigel Adams for arranging. Thanks also to Susan for playing for us on both occasion's.
Bishop Christopher is a keen railway enthusiast, involved with the Talyllyn Railway and after the service he visited Corris railway and had a footplate ride, again organised by Nigel.
At our Congregational & AGM combined meeting's we planned our fundraising for the year. The next event in on Sat 26th May in the Institute in Corris from 10.30 - 1pm. This will be a general sale with raffle & tombola stalls.
On July 7th we will be doing cream teas in the church, more details nearer the time.
We continue to do 'Open the Book’ in Corris School and are very pleased Ceri has agreed to take over from Beth organising this for us she brings a lot of experience with her, of working with children. Ceri also organise’s our music for Sunday services. Many thanks to Beth for the past few years organising ‘Open the Book’ and Ceri as we go forward.
St Peter’s Church Flower Festival.
The Flower Festival will open on Wednesday 1st August at 11am with a Songs of Praise on Sunday 5th August. The next planning meeting for the festival will be on Tuesday 15th May at 2pm in the Church room.
