MINISTRY AREA LUNCH SUNDAY 28th JUNE PLAS DOLGUOG 12.45pm.

We are holding a Lunch after the service on Sunday 28th June in Plas Dolguog.

The price is £13.00 per person. Menu in Churches

To book your lunch please fill in pro forma in churches, give money to wardens by June 21st, Cheques payable to St Peter’s Church


ORDINATION SERVICE BANGOR CATHEDRAL JUNE 27th AT 3PM.

We are organising a coach to Bangor for the ordination of the Rev. Naomi Starkey to the priesthood.

The coach will leave Machynlleth at 12.00 hrs  picking up enroute via Cemmaes.

The cost will be £10.00 and your seats can be booked along with the money to Church Wardens on the proforma in your churches orr Ken Searson by June 21st Cheques payable to St Peter’s  Church.

There will be a cup of tea after the service and we aim to be back around 7.30 pm


Charity Shop

The shop will re-openon Wednesday 17th June. We will be most grateful for any donations of clothing, goods or anything you think might bring in much needed funds to St Peters. We will be preparing the shop the week before opening. Anyone that able to assist in the shop will be most welcome.  Volunteers will be needed to run the shop on Wednesdays and Fridays. Mornings are from 10 am until 1 pm and afternoons from 1 pm until 4 pm. For further details contact Maureen Hughes.


Strawberry Tea

A Strawberry Tea will be held on Saturday 4th July in Mrs Alice Hughes’s garden at 39 Tregarth.

All welcome, if lifts are required please contact Maureen Hughes.

There will be a cake stall, so donations would be welcome.


Ordination of Naomi

On Saturday 27th June the Reverend Naomi Starkey will be ordained priest by Bishop Andrew at our Cathedral. Please hold Naomi in your prayers during this very important time in her life. On Sunday 28tth June she will be celebrating her first Eucharist at St Peter’s Church, Machynlleth at a united service at 10.30am this will be followed by a parish lunch at Plas Dolguog not only to celebrate her priesting but also to say farewell to Naomi as she continues her curacy in Bro Enlli Ministry Area.
We pray for God’s blessing on her and her ministry and on Daniel as he starts a new school with new friends.
