Making Time for God in Lent

Amser i Dduw yn y Garawys

Dyma gyfle da i dreulio amser yn y Garawys i fyrfyrio ar Dduw a phethau’r ffydd – rhan draddodiadol o’r wythnosau cyn y Pasg. Dewch draw i Swyddfa Eglwys St Pedr, Machynlleth, bob Dydd Mercher, Chwefror 25ain – Ebrill 1af, 11yb – 1yp, am ddwy awr o feddwl, sgwrsio ac amser byr o weddi. Yna gorffen efo ginio bara a chaws. Croeso cynnes i bawb.

Lent is usually seen as a time for giving something up – but it can also be a great opportunity to commit to something for the weeks before Easter.  And I’m not just talking about giving those New Year’s resolutions another go! Lent offers a chance for a bit of focused thinking about our faith – what it means to us, the difference it makes to our lives day by day, even where and how God might be calling us to journey a bit further in our understanding.

I’d like to invite you to join me in Machynlleth on the Wednesdays of Lent for a relaxed time of Bible-related reflection. Starting 25 February, we will gather in St Peter’s Parish Office at 11am and spend a couple of hours, concluding with a simple lunch. All are most welcome – and you can participate as much or as little as you wish.  I look forward very much to seeing you there.
