Walking with Clive - Dec 2016

There are more than 65 million refugees in our world today. In fear, they flee conflict, natural disasters and extreme poverty. In hope, they seek a safe place to call home.

This Christmas, Christian Aid Cymru will walk from Bethlehem in Carmarthenshire to Aifft (Egypt) in Denbighshire in solidarity with these people, our brothers and sisters.

It will be a sponsored walk, with donations going towards the work Christian Aid does to fight poverty generally, which includes vital work in supporting refugees in many parts of the world.

We invite you to join us on the walk - either for the whole journey or for specific legs - and help us draw attention to the world's refugee crisis and raise funds for Christian Aid's work.

Supporting this walk we shall be meeting by St Peters at 8:45 am (Saturday 10th December) traveling to CAT for a 9:00 am start. The walk itself will go via Corris, Aberllefenni and along the cycle track to the top of Talyllyn – and along to Tabor where people from Dolgellau will probably split and go down to town, the walk end’s in Brithdir.

We shall be walking to Corris with the group were we shall bid them farewell, we’ll then visit the Corris Craft Centre for refreshments, toilets, and maybe a bit of Christmas Shopping. . We shall then catch the bus back to CAT to pick up the cars and home.

The principle reason for this walk is to raise awareness of the plight of refugees all over the world and to raise money for the work of Christian Aid in helping to alleviate their suffering. You can help by sponsoring the walkers. Christian Aid envelopes will be available in St Peter’s Church

Please help in any way you can through your generosity and prayer.
